I hate cards – so I started a papergoods company
When I told my friends I was starting a paper goods company, the response was quick, “but you hate cards!”
There weren’t wrong.
I’ve never found cards quite right - too loud, too soppy, or simply too large, with my small message floating awkwardly in a sea of empty space. And for something read once and often discarded, it always felt… excessive.
I wanted that goldilocks card – understated, considered, simple and just the right size.
Over the past few years, I’ve been quietly making handmade paper. It started as a creative outlet - a slow, tactile and calming hobby I enjoyed in my spare time. Before long, I had a growing collection: textured, imperfect, and entirely unique. I loved looking at it. But I didn’t quite know what to do with it.
Until one day, when faced with buying yet another card, I paused and thought - what if I made my own?
And more importantly, what if I used the paper I had fallen in love with?
That was the beginning of With Love and Paper Co.
A collection of considered paper goods, designed to be simple, practical, and quietly beautiful. Pieces that feel intentional to give and just as meaningful to keep. Many are created using recycled materials, including my small-batch handcrafted paper, where texture and variation are part of the story.
This is just the beginning. New pieces and collections will evolve over time, as the studio grows and the process unfolds. I cant wait to share this with you.
